ellie in the night-time.: Who's A? - A Learren Fic
co-op of carrie and ellie
Darren leaned his head up against the cool glass of the tour bus window, watching the lush Connecticut landscape, distorted by the darkness, go speeding by. He, along with the rest of the Glee cast, had just finished their latest performance on the tour and was on…
you are too A-mazing, i can’t even handle it.
(see what i did there? *sigh* sometimes i just slay myself)
Coachella!Learren
The hot desert sun was relentlessly beating down on Darren. It was the third and final day of the annual Coachella festival and even though it was only late April, the temperature in southern California was already bordering on a sweltering 100 degrees.
As hot as it was, Darren was not focused on the heat. Instead, he was transfixed on the petite brunette a few feet in front of him, swaying along to his brother’s band, Freelance Whales, who were playing on the stage of the Oasis Dome. Three days in the hot sun had tanned her skin into a bronze glow while the oppressive humidity had slightly frizzed her normally silky hair, returning it to its natural wave. And in keeping in the raw tradition of the festival, she was wearing a long, linen, floral printed sundress with barely any make-up on. He had never seen her looking more organic- or more beautiful. She looked like a seventies flower girl, very San Fransisco-ish, which made him smile and his heart yearn for her even more.
Unable to help himself any longer, he excused himself from the rest of the group and moved up beside her, laying a hand on her warm shoulder.
i really can’t say this enough- ellie, i love you<3<3
Extraordinary Merry Christmas - A Learren Songfic
“It’s an extraordinary merry Christmas” After she finished the last note of the song, Lea looked up from the sheet music to find Alex and Nikki Anders nodding approvingly through the glass of the recording booth.
Alex leaned forward, pressing a button on the soundboard, allowing his voice to come echoing into Lea’s side of the booth. “Got it,” was all her said, flashing her a thumbs-up.
She pulled the headphones off her head and placed them gently on the music stand. As she opened the door to the booth, she found Darren waiting on the other side, prepared to go in and record his part of their Christmas duet.
She smiled at him politely, wondering how much he’d already heard. She wondered what he thought about the music; she’d thought it to be a little tacky at first but now that she’s listened to it about seventy times, the song had totally grown on her. But he was still a songwriter who wrote – unarguably – better songs that the one they should be singing today.
She didn’t know exactly why it was so important to her that he still liked it, though. Maybe because it was their song. Their very first original Glee song..
awww! i love it!!! but i might be being a litte biased :D
no seriously, ellie- you are fabulous and i love you <3
Rolling Stone Interview - Faux-Learren Article
based on this faux cover by ellie//
interview by carrie
There is just one word that comes to mind when describing Glee’s dynamic duo of Lea Michele and Darren Criss: charming. Michele’s Rachel and Criss’s Blaine are easily two of the most recognizable characters from the beloved series. Each possesses stage presence that just seems to radiate through the television screens of, on average, 10 million viewers per week. Ever since their first duet together, a cover of Human League’s ”Don’t You Want Me?” over a year ago, the incredible chemistry between the two has been completely palpable; with one always seeming to thrive off the other’s energy.
The two also share another major trait: their incomparable talents. Michele, who has been with the show since its inception, blows the roof off every cover sung and Criss, who joined the show in the second season, had his first cover, a rendition of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream”, become the number one downloaded track in the show’s history. Any way you look at it, there is no denying the enormous star potential that each actor has.
But as on the show, not everything is sunshine and rainbows; there is a dark cloud that has been hovering over the Glee bubble as of late. But even amidst rumors of on-set cat fights and behind-the-scenes hookups, Glee, also known as “the little show that could”, continues to thrive, with Michele and Criss thrust front and center in the spotlight. But now, as the show winds down its third season, it faces a number of questions about the future, the main one being: can it go on without its major core cast? Rolling Stone sat down with the pair to find out the answer to this, and some other burning questions.
Rolling Stone: First of all, congratulations on the success of the show.
Lea Michele: Thank you so much!
Darren Criss: Thanks, man.
A Little Change Is A Good Thing- A Blainchel Fic
for ashley <3
and a big thank you to ellie who helped me work out the ending <3
the one in which we discover why Blaine Anderson started to dress like the male version of Rachel Berry. set pre-season 3. (3000 words exactly. i’m kind of impressed with myself.)
Rachel Berry was searching through the racks of the petite women’s section of the department store at the local mall when she heard a familiar voice behind. “Well, well, well. If it isn’t Miss Rachel Berry herself.”
She whirled around. “Blaine!” she exclaimed, her face lighting up at the sight of the Warbler flashing her a friendly smile. She was genuinely happy to see him. There were no hard feelings over their short, ill-fated relationship. And although he was currently dating her friend Kurt, she hadn’t seen much of him over the summer. She vaguely remembered Kurt mentioning something about him working in an amusement park. “How are you?” she asked, stepping forward to wrap him in a quick hug.
Stepping back, Blaine observed at the small brunette warmly, his hazel eyes sparkling. “It’s good to see you, Rachel,” he said sincerely.
Something about his gaze unnerved her slightly, but it wasn’t something she could put her finger on. “You too,” she said, averting his eyes for a moment. However, she quickly pulled her herself together. “What are you doing here? Is Kurt around?” she asked, her signature bubbliness returning to her voice.
Blaine smiled cryptically. “Actually, he doesn’t know I’m here. But I’m shopping for some new school clothes. I’m transferring to McKinley.”
Learren One-Word Drabble Challenge: Day Twenty-Four

MUSE
(this is a little depressing given the excitement over the learren twitpic tonight, but i like to think there’d be a happy ending after it. Oh! and the song Darren sings in this drabble is “I’ll Follow You’ by Jon McLaughlin. I posted it below if anyone doesn’t know it/wants to hear how it sounds. Or play it while reading. either way :D)
Lea couldn’t sleep.
Normally she never had a problem falling asleep. As high-energy as she was, she was always on the go for most of the day and was usually more than ready for bed the moment her head hit the pillow.
But not tonight.
Learren One-Word Drabble Challenge: Day Twenty-Three

AMUSE
(so it’s been a couple months since i posted a drabble, but better late than never, right? anyway, this one was inspired by a prompt given to me by jackpotgirl. i tweaked it a bit because it wasn’t working out the way i originally wanted it to, but this is what i ended up with…)
Darren was relaxing in his trailer, working out new music on his keyboard in between shooting scenes for Glee, when a sudden pounding started on his door. “Darren!” a feminine voice exclaimed. He would know that voice anywhere- Lea.
Unable to help himself, a tiny smile appeared on his lips. They had been getting a lot closer lately- something Darren found himself enjoying every moment they spent together. And lately, he couldn’t help but wonder if Lea was developing a crush on him. He didn’t want to get his hopes up- that a girl as gorgeous and talented and amazing as she was could ever have feelings for him- but she had been much more flirty recently- and he found that he didn’t mind in the least.
City Lights- A Learren Microficlet
i haven’t written anything in a while, and i just needed a little something to (hopefully) get me back into the zone…
Lea stood on the balcony of her apartment, her bare feet cool against the concrete, as the night wind swirled around her. It was a gentle breeze, but it was still enough to send a slight chill down her spine. Smiling contentedly, she pulled the quilt wrapped around her shoulders tighter, shielding herself from the wind as she gazed out onto the city street below her, trying to remember a time when she had been this happy.
None immediately came to mind.
Suddenly a voice came through the open door from her bedroom. “What are you doing out there, sweetie? Come back to bed.”
Cheeks tingeing with pink from having been caught, she crossed back through the threshold to find Darren propped up on his shoulder in her bed, eyeing her curiously. The city lights faintly illuminated the room through the tilted plastic blinds, casting yellow beams across the bed- across him- highlighting the well-defined muscles in his chest.
She shrugged off the quilt, letting it slide down her silky skin before padding over to the bed and slipping under the sheets. She curled up against the warmth of chest and let the rhythmic beat of his heart lull her into a peaceful sleep.

Learren One-Word Drabble Challenge: Day Twenty-One

TICKET
“Ladies and Gentlemen, the captain is now beginning our final descent into LAX. Please return your seat back into their upright and locked position and remain seated with your seat belt securely fastened. Thank you.”
The overly-cheerful voice of the flight attendant over the cabin intercom roused Lea from her sleep. She wasn’t really that tired- she was returning to L.A. to start shooting the third season of Glee after spending some relaxing time with her family in New York- but still, the gentle roar and motion of the plan had lulled her to sleep somewhere over the Midwestern states.
Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, Lea glanced out the window to her right. The plane had already broken through the clouds and she could see the landscape of the outlying suburbs below her.
She pressed her forehead against the cool glass and watched the ground getting closer and closer while the thought of soon being reunited with her cast-mates made her stomach knot up in excited anticipation.
